History

The Medlin name is synonymous with integrity. Our family owned and operated company began over 60 years ago in 1947, by our Founder George R. Medlin. The company has been succeeded by his son and grandsons for 4 generations. The first machines were purchased to teach George's grandsons a family trade. In 1948 the company moved into a 1,000 sq. ft. Quonset hut, left from World War II. Today, Medlin and Son is located in a 30,000 sq ft facility in Whittier, CA and operates over 50 state-of-the-art machines. Presently three generations of George's grandchildren oversee every department and direct each step of production. It is our sincere hope in the near future, that George R. Medlin's 5th generation will guide us thru the 21st century, the way George intended.

Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986
Better known by its original name of
Proposition 65

Proposition 65 requires the State to Publish a list of chemicals known to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. This list, which must be updated at least once a year, has grown to include over 800 chemicals since it was first published in 1987. Medlin & Son Engineering Service, Inc. is a manufacturer of parts for other distributors. Since parts are made with materials and coatings per the specifications of our customers, the customer is the one who ensures that their materials and coatings meet all consumer and governmental performance and regulatory requirements. As a courtesy to our customers, we have included a link to the most recent list for substances identified by Prop 65.
